Training Catalogue
MAC Training for Schools
The Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) process is a highly effective method of funding mental health and social service expansion in school systems. If your district is not taking advantage of this system, this training could help develop capacity. Focused on the Oregon administrative rules for this federal Medicaid program this training is approximately 2 hours in length and outlines the process for schools to participate in the MAC time study.
Management of Chronic Suicidality in Youth
An 8-hour-long advanced training for therapists and clinical providers focused on providing effective management and treatment for chronically suicidal youth in the community. This course will focus on using current understanding of the youth suicide crisis to help providers develop and implement a framework of skills that can integrate into their existing clinical practice when treating chronically suicidal youth in outpatient settings.
Partnering with Educational Systems
Working effectively with school systems is essential for healthcare and social services providers working with youth. Schools are a vital partner in communities and they operate by unique patterns that are often different from other systems. This training is designed to provide a foundation of understanding about how to work with schools effectively and understand the motivations and outcomes that schools respond to. This 6 hour training is eligible for MHACCBO Continuing Education Credit.
Emotional Management
An introductory training for helping professionals of all backgrounds to understand how emotional stressors affect us and what we can do to respond to them. Over two hours of interactive training, participants will learn about the internal biological response system of emotional stress and how to both self- and co-regulate emotions in professional helping settings.
